 <em>Note:</em> The value of the <CODE>POLARLABEL</CODE>
 characteristic is a string instead of a numeric value. So, if
 you enter: <CODE>GET POLARLABEL X</CODE>, the variable <CODE>X</CODE> will be a string variable.</P>
